Samuel Mugo, ARNP, PMHNP-BC, is a well experienced board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. With over 15 years of psychiatric nursing experience, Samuel has developed from a variety of specialties, including Forensic units, Gero psych units, inpatient psychiatric units, drug and alcohol treatment center, critical care, Nursing home, assisted living facilities, group homes and adult family home facilities.
Samuel Specializes in the treatment of both Chronic and Acute mental illness in both children and adults from diverse cultures, He utilizes skills such as medication management, individual therapy, family therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness principles to assist clients deal with mental challenges. He has good experience with treating adults who have depression, schizophrenia, schizoaffective, ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, insomnia and PTSD.
Samuel practices patient-centered non-judgmental approach to patient care, Considering each clients unique challenges and making sure clients are involved in the decision-making process involving treatment planing in order to achieve desirable outcomes.
